New Adriatic-Mediterranean Service by Evergreen
21.09.2009

The Taiwanese container line Evergreen has launched a new weekly service between the Adriatic and the Mediterranean, thus combining two of its existing services Adriatic Feeder (ADF) and Intra-Mediterranean Feeder (IMS).

The new combined service ADL will be serviced by four container vessels, including Ital Oceano with a deadweight of 2,080 TEU, Stockholm and Singapore both with deadweight of 1,422 TEU, as well as Uni Assure with a deadweight of 900 TEU. The first container vessel left the port of Trieste on the 20th of September. The port rotation on this service includes Venice, Rijeka, Ancona, Taranto, Limassol, Mersin, and Taranto.

Evergreen expects that the new combined service will allow to improve the company’s service offer by providing new direct connections on North Adriatic and Eastern Mediterranean markets, thus providing for greater competitiveness on the regional market.
