The container volumes in the port of Long Beach, the largest container port in the US, have demonstrated a slow down of decline.
According to the statistics published by the port administration, in August the container volumes serviced by the port declined by 13.8% compared with the same period of last year. At the same time, in July the volumes of containers serviced by the port declined by 23%, and in February this figure reached almost 40%. In total, during the first eight months of this year the port serviced 3.3 million TEU, a decrease of 25% year-on-year.
